Business Development Manager - China

BRP are currently recruiting for a Business Development Manager – China. In this role you will have the responsibility of BRP China’s distribution channel strategy development and execution. This will include, physical stores, as well as new business models. You will have total control to diagnose, lift up, strengthen the current dealer network quality in terms of hardware, as well as operational capability. You will also manage the BRP China investor strategy, to ensure the network has strong capability of financials, professional operation entities, and local connections. Also, you will build and strengthen the newly established BD function with coaching to the team in terms of know-how and mindset.

YOU’LL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

1. BRP China distribution channel strategy development and execution (approx. 40% of the time)

- Establish and execute BRP 5 years network planning methodologies and mechanisms based on the identified KPIs e.g., local business potentials and opportunities, motorcycle car registration.

- Establish the dealer selection criteria in reflection with requirement on financial strength, operational capability/experience, BRP team preparation, playground location/condition, showroom location/condition

- Establish the selection/appointment process with involvement relevant stake holders to ensure transparency and confidentiality

- On time opening the new dealers with professional project management mechanism and in line with volume planning and sales planning

- Ensure all support is provided to new partners and coordinate onboarding training on the tools and systems to operate successfully in their business with BRP

2. BRP dealer performance management and escalation (approx. 30% of the time)

- Rebirth the BRP dealer performance management by establishing and enhancing the tools incl. but not limited by commercial policy, dealer agreement, retail standard, dealer training/coaching strategy

- Establish the dealer performance monitoring mechanism with KPIs e.g. monthly sales targets achievement ratio, management team completion etc., action plan and escalation process need to be developed with clear signal to sales, marketing and other operational team.

- Termination process development in case the action plans and escalation process fail.

- Dealer legal process – contracts, agreements, cancellation, communication letters, etc.

- Regular dealer council hosting

3. Identify and implement all potential business channel or business model for BRP in China considering the Online offline touch point integration. (approx. 15% of the time)

- Monitor market development to identify potential business opportunity with cross channels, brands and industries e.g. outdoor industry, glamping etc.;

- Identify all business opportunities including platform partners or chain sports stores, e-commerce and off-site channels to set up the potential business cooperation model to prepare the future product e.g. Sea-doo Rise

- Other business development topics, i.e. strategic analysis regarding growth, new business areas, network transformation etc.;

4. Lead and develop a high performing BD team (approx. 15% of the time)

- Develop a completely new BD team to support long-term business growth

- Actively lead the team towards achievement of the priorities, encouraging excellence and accountability for results, while promoting and ensuring alignment with the BRP values

- Manage objective settings, coaching and performance monitoring of team

- Lead and coach the team, encourage a culture of learning, and promote feedback through open and trusting communications

YOU’LL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

- 15+ years of experience from automotive dealer development is a must, volume or premium brands are both welcomed

- Network planning, dealer implementation, dealer performance management and dealer training experiences are must

- Overall brand network development experience is a strong plus

- Experience on handling multiple top investor groups on China market is a must (Top 100 as reference)

- Highly developed leadership, people performance and coaching skills (Outstanding

- interpersonal skills)

- Demonstrated success in simplifying, standardizing and embedding business processes

- across organization and stakeholders

- Ability to collaborate closely and effectively with a cross-functional, matrix environment

- Driven, resilient that thrives in a fast-paced environment

- Fluent Mandarin and English are required
