We are seeking a talented individual to join Marsh Business Development Team. This role will be based in Shanghai. This is a hybrid role that has a requirement of working at least three days a week in the office.

We will count on you to:

• Understand P&C Insurance market in China and Marsh broker standard and guideline.

• Successfully schedules and conducts sales calls and presentations and works to ensure the maintenance of a large portfolio of potential accounts and a high frequency of sales work.

• Utilizes existing network, a small list of account leads and insight derived from targeted research and preparation to gain business or interest from small, straight-forward potential accounts in a delegated small region or industry.

• Assists senior level colleagues specializing in various markets and/or industries with various aspects of the deal process to gain broad exposure, new relationships and relevant experience.

• Maintains a thorough awareness of market occurrences including important developments, trends, competitors' positioning and the status of big and small business contracts to assist in identifying potential business opportunities.

• Under minimal supervision drafts comprehensive due diligence reports and presentations containing fundamental qualitative and quantitative assessments in response to a request for proposal or to assist a senior colleague to gain business.

• Constructs targeted standard marketing plans for business offerings and/or concepts directed at small, straight-forward potential accounts and aspects of complex marketing plans for use by senior colleagues.

• Belongs to various professional organizations and attends conferences and events to expand and maintain a large professional network and represent the company.

What you need to have:

• Has a college degree or equivalent work experience.

• Has an understanding of property/casualty insurance principals.

• At least 5 years business development working experience. Key account management and P&C insurance experience is a plus

• Must have excellent oral and communication skills.
