JCI has embarked on a Data strategy that focuses on establishing strong technology CoE, enterprise data management & cloud-based business solutions. Data Analyst is an integral part of Technical Architecture team. This role will be based out of India, reporting into Delivery Lead- Data & Analytics. Primary responsibility of this role will be to understand and document business requirement for the Analytics solution, analyze technical requirement and work with delivery leads/stakeholders and architects to document technical requirements. This role will also be responsible to co-ordinate business engagement during User Acceptance Testing and Solution release. How you will do it Understand business requirements and analyze technical requirements Understand data modelling, the underlying data and flow of data Responsible for the creation of Source to Target mapping documents Work with Technical Architects and document high-level design Work with developers and document the detail design Work with business stakeholders and document testing requirements Work with Development and Business teams for carrying out Data Validation Co-ordinate User Acceptance Testing with the business stakeholders Co-ordinate business engagement during release and project closure What we look for Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in information technology, Data or an equivalent discipline 2-3 years of experience in Data Analyst role Proven experience in MS SQL Proven track record of working with data analysis and ETL tools Knowledge and experience in Analytics Solution design Experience of testing tools and testing techniques Knowledge of MPP Data platform, Azure Data Factory, Azure HDI, Power BI and Open-source technologies, Azure Analysis Service, DAX, and Advanced Cube design techniques is a plus. Candidates should be flexible / willing to work across this delivery landscape which includes and not limited to Agile Applications Development, Support and Deployment. Enthusiastic to learn new technologies and recommend process improvements Technology Requirement Strong proven expertise on SQL, PL/SQL working with big data & RDBMS database Experience with Data Modeling Tool such as Erwin. Familiar with ETL/ELT Tools such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Bricks Familiar with Azure HDInsight, Synapse Analytics Familiar with ETL/ELT Framework design and implementation Familiar with Microsoft PowerBi / Reporting tools Essential Skills Strong organizational, and prioritization skills Excellent written and verbal skills to communicate technical solutions to business teams Demonstrated experience leading and influencing individuals and teams without formal organizational control Understanding trends, new concepts, industry standards and new technologies in Data and Analytics space Ability to work with global distributed teams. #LI-AY1 #LI-Hybrid Johnson Controls: Enhancing the Intelligence of Buildings Your buildings have a purpose.
