Description

The Business Development Manager will identify and develop sales opportunities, initiate contacts with clients, participate in project pursuit activities including technical exchanges, TA negotiations and commercial negotiation, and support department director to formulate strategy for capturing specific new projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate between home office departments and clients. Stay in touch with clients for project status and feed back to home office.

• Develop relationship with customers for potential projects, assure successful capture as projected in the forecast

• Draft regular reports for department director

• Organize pre-sales meetings such as technical exchange, technical negotiation as well as commercial negotiations and facilitate during the same process (including translating Technical Inquiry and Technical Appendices, identifying issue & inconsistencies and suggest resolution thereof)

• Participate in technology seminars and give presentations on involved technologies within department portfolio

• Assist other Technology business groups to capture more business opportunities with the same customer

• Sales coordination - with Business Unit and customers (sale/capture management), such as organize meetings and customer visits, etc.

• Make introductory technology presentations

• Contract management (on the commercial side, have good knowledge about contract terms, core sale interest and follow-up for contract adherence)

• Customer relationship expertise (get to understand how an organization is structured, how decisions are made, project establishment/approval procedure & status)

• Support department director for development of sales plan/strategy for each project,

• Liaison between home office project team and client’s project team during project execution

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Degree in chemical engineering or related majors preferred.

• A minimum of 5 years working experience in petrochemical or refining industry, specific working experience in technology licensing is a plus.

• Fluent spoken and written English. Skilled in using computer

• Teamwork spirit, trustworthy.

• Leadership, self-motivated

• Good business sense, understanding of the general trends in the energy sector

• Sound analytical skills.

• Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken.

• Ability to travel frequently and work overtime.

• Ability to work under pressure and overtime. Ability to learn new things and get adapted to changes.
