Senior Marketing Manager - Your Future Position?

As a Senior Marketing Manager for Savoury & Snacks category in our Taste & Wellbeing Division, you will report to the Marketing Director – Greater China and will lead our marketing innovation efforts in China to lead Savoury & Snacks category growth. You will define, lead, and lead the China Savoury & Snacks Marketing Strategy and Marketing programs to grow and differentiate Givaudan with customers through engagement with sales and technical teams at Country level, and with Innovation teams at Regional level. In this exciting role you will:

• Lead the development of the category growth strategy: Drive the development of China Savoury & Snacks strategy. Identify and propose business development opportunities and provide expertise to help deliver strategic Savoury & Snacks big bets. Partner with sales, technical teams and regional innovation team, to analyze business performance, identify issues and define innovation agenda and plans to fill specific needs for the category. Work with Business Development to formulate strategy for new relevant Savoury & Snacks sub-categories and Integrated Solutions. Experience in working on convenient eating segment and food service channels.

• Category Expertise: Expert of the category with in-depth understanding and knowledge of the market, industry dynamics, competitive positioning and consumer understanding, effectively manage both short-term innovation and long term strategic actions for the category, identify and capture the new opportunities and build the pipeline, by leveraging company resources (local/regional/global, cross-functional resources). Build good collaboration with regional team to support China relevant projects for the category.

• Direct and execute marketing efforts to target customers: Develop marketing innovation plans and implementation in targeted quality and timely. Ensure that strategy is “translated” into marketable actions and that targets set are achieved. Own the regional innovation commercialization plans for China. Understand customers’ brands and formulate brand relevant concepts and translate consumer and sensory insights into customers’ business for sustainable growth. Focus is required to provide agile support on customer’s reactive projects. Experience in digital marketing campaigns.

• Leadership: Effective Savoury & Snacks category leader at driving change and performance for the category with cross-functional touchpoints.

Your professional profile includes:

• BS in Food technology, Chemistry or Marketing; MBA or formal business training / certification is an advantage

• Preferably 15 years' experience with previous background in either marketing or sales in B2B food ingredient / additive companies or FMCG

• Strong capacity to manage projects and priorities in a matrix organization. Strong skill to process a broad range of external / internal sources of information/trends/consumer insights and to convert into develop strategic direction for the commercial organization

• Strategic mindset with tactical execution, ability to balance multiple priorities with good decision-making

• Customer-oriented

• Good team player

• Experience as a team manager
