Job Description
Managing the China oncology sales function involves providing strategic leadership to drive sales and profits.
As the VP , create and communicate the vision, strategies, and objectives aligned with corporate goals. Developing key performance levers like sales forecasts, incentive goals, and promotional activities ensures maximum ROI.
Being part of the senior leadership team, contribute to strategic direction and address business issues creatively. Managing resources within budget to meet profit targets is crucial. Upholding values and talent management, focus on individual career development and engagement.
Achieving oncology sales targets nationwide is paramount. Establishing a culture of empowerment, effective leadership, and teamwork at all levels is key. Managing cross-functional teams to tackle business challenges and ensure ethical sales practices is essential.
Maximising the performance of Field Sales Manager through goal setting and development planning is a priority. Implementing leadership strategies and nurturing talent within the sales force is crucial for organisational growth.
Collaborating with the marketing team on strategies and initiatives, I oversee their implementation and evaluation nationally. Reviewing product forecasts and conducting business analysis for effective resource allocation are part of my responsibilities.
Lastly, serving as the voice of the customer to stakeholders ensures alignment with customer needs and expectations.
The Successful Applicant
Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Science, Business, Finance, or Marketing is required for this role.
The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 15 years of experience, encompassing sales and marketing leadership in the pharmaceutical industry, with a focus on commercialising Oncology products in the China market
Additionally, candidates should possess expertise in P&L management, developing product strategies, and driving product positioning programs.
The successful candidate must have senior leadership experience as a second-line manager, proficiency in both direct line and matrix management, and a background in serving on leadership teams.
Preferred qualifications include an MBA in Business Management, Sales, or Marketing, along with a minimum of 4 years of commercial experience in Oncology.
Candidates with a background in business unit leadership or general management, coupled with a deep understanding of the China managed marketplace, are highly desirable.
Demonstrated abilities in market development, creating new market opportunities, and a comprehensive understanding of the unique dynamics of the China Oncology marketplace are crucial.
Moreover, the ideal candidate should showcase a proven track record in influencing at various organisational levels to secure necessary resources for establishing and enhancing new business capabilities. Successful candidates will also have a history of managing and implementing change effectively, as well as inspiring their teams during transitional periods.
