MARKETING MANAGER :
Seeking a highly motivated, digital savvy event marketing manager with regional marketing experience particularly in China and Hong Kong markets.
The individual should be accustomed to delivering in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. He/She should be a team player, able to work effectively with internal and external teams, to plan and execute b2b exhibition marketing campaigns in line with strategic
objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Identify key markets and segments of trade buyers, hosted buyers, conference delegates, press etc. that will visit the event.
• Promote and drive registration and attendance for the exhibition.
• Develop marketing plans with inputs from internal and external teams, utilising the full marketing mix and optimising the effectiveness of all channels.
• Lead and manage database marketing efforts, developing new contacts and updating previous contacts.
• Collaborate with digital marketing team to develop email marketing, social media marketing and search marketing plans.
• Actively monitor and adjust digital marketing activities based on performance metrics.
• Drive media/association/trade partnerships and press relations to promote and communicate about the event.
• Appoint PR agency and organise press conference and develop press releases and related PR activities.
• Work closely with Operations team for all onsite requirements including Official contractor, Registration vendors, Manpower vendors etc.
• Work with the team in the production of all Exhibition sales and marketing collaterals.
• Manage and work closely with vendors and partners and provide the necessary leadership and support.
• Take ownership and execute plans according to schedule
• Attend meetings with the project team to discuss progress.
• Work closely with Marketing Director in managing allocated marketing budget with little/no deviance
Requirements :
• 4-6 years of marketing experience with preference for event marketing and event project management.
• Experience and understanding of Asian markets, particularly Mainland China and Hong Kong markets.
• Knowledge of digital and social media platforms with some knowledge of Chinese platforms (WeChat, Weibo, Douyin, Baidu etc.)
• Ability to manage and leverage trade, vendor and internal team relationships to work effectively.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin. Cantonese is a plus.
• Possess strong communication skills and sound business acumen.
• Good time management and ability to manage multiple projects and task simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently and within a team
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Self-driven and action-oriented to achieve results
• Willing and enthusiastic to learn
• High energy with sound business acumen.
