Founded in 1993, GEI is one of the longest running institute in China for all-round strategy and management consulting. GEI has participated in numerous key public regional planning projects, such as the Revision of Beijing General Urban Planning, Changsha-Zhuzhou-Xiangtan Development Planning, the Development Planning for Circle of Economy around Beijing, and the Chongqing metropolis Planning etc. GEI’s unique strength lies in high-tech zone development consulting. Offering planning scheme for high-tech zones in China, GEI is responsible for two of the only four national innovation demonstration zones’ plan-designing (Beijing Zhongguancun and Wuhan Donghu), and serves more than 30 national high-tech zones all over China, including the famous Shanghai Zhangjiang, Shenzhen and Daqing High-tech Zones.
